First of all, I would like to thank your for
visiting my Web site.
About three years ago (in 1995), I had my first
Internet account at the "Digitale Metropool Antwerpen" (www.dma.be). They give
free limited Internet access to people in Belgium including a real E-Mail address and 750
KB space for a Web site. The first version of my homepage was born. It was really ugly,
compared to this third version. It was completely written in HTML Writer for Windows, a
freeware program with links to nearly all HTML 2.0 tags. I also installed a Windows .HLP
file with all HTML 3.0 tags, that file was also know as HTMLib from Stephen Le Hunte.
In 1996, during the summer I reorganized the
whole site, and used frames for the very first time. Well, actually two frames, one for
the toolbar on top and one for the contents. For then on I used a real WYSIWYG HTML
editor, but I can't remember the name... :( I also changed the location of my Web site to
the PING server, a commercial Internet Service Provider. I now have 5 MB of commercial Web
space available. And the server is a lot faster too.
The last upgrade, done in 1998 is a complete
new Web site made with Microsoft Frontpage 98. Although this program contains lots of
bugs, it's one of the best HTML editors I've ever seen... And I don't have the time to
make all the tables in a ASCII editor.
The page is made for a resolution of 800x600,
but it looks fine on any higher resolution too. I also used non-standard TrueType fonts.
These can be downloaded from Microsoft's Web server.
And, yes, the pages are optimized for Internet Explorer, but AFAIK there should be no
problem for Netscape Navigator users.
The contents of this site is dedicated to
ProBoard, probably the Best BBS package available and to Virtual Soft Productions, a
company who creates so-called PEXes - ProBoard EXecutables for ProBoard. PEXes are little
inline doors for ProBoard written in C or C++.
That's it... I hope you enjoy your stay here. |
